We optimize site potential, human creativity, habitat diversity, and collaborate with nature to provide superior solutions for urban and rural development and to improve the quality of life.
Innovative Landscape Technologies offers a wide range of services for site management and design. We use the ever-evolving 'Low Impact Development' (LID) technologies in new ways. We combine solutions to optimize performance and reduce negative impacts on sites.
We are active educators of students and the public alike. Our goal is to engage entire communities in the integration of old and new techniques, thus putting the human face on an environmental problem. We promote awareness about the best site management practices. As part of our educational efforts we often have interns working with us on projects.
Gardening is as ancient as civilization. It is an essential skill as working with the land, vegetation, growing our food and living in our natural environment is what made us who we are today.
Everyone is able to learn how to garden with the old, yet always fresh and creative approaches and everyone is able to reach personalized goals: growing vegetables and fruits or just having a peaceful and beautiful outdoor space.

Innovative Landscape Technologies is owned by Zsofia Pasztor. She started her company after working decades in the horticultural, arboricultural and construction industries. Her passion is gardening, being in the outdoors and figuring out solutions that benefit people, wildlife, and the environment at the same time.
She spends most of her free time in her own garden growing edibles and ornamentals and watching wildlife.
She is a part-time instructor at the Edmonds Community College, a landscape designer, LID construction consultant, certified professional horticulturist, certified tree risk assessor, and an internationally certified arborist. Zsofia volunteers on many projects and takes her students to sites where they can learn to build what they are discussing in the classroom.
Zsofia is a part-time trainer for Stewardship Partners teaching the public about rain gardens in hands-on workshops.
As a consultant and garden coach, she often works with bioretention solutions, vegetated roofs, living walls, and edible gardens utilizing the principals of 'permaculture'. She is one of the few professionals who are Certified Filtrexx Solution Designers. She uses sustainable practices and creates wildlife habitats regardless of the site's size.
She is the creator of the 'Farmer Frog Model' promoting community based urban farming that protects and restores habitat for people and wildlife at the same time. She is a member of the Curriculum Board for the EdCC's Horticulture Department and Rain Garden Coalition of Snohomish County. She is also the president of the Sustainable Development Task Force of Snohomish County(SDTF).
